Delivery charges and timescales vary depending on the volume / type of products ordered, and the delivery address.
Timescale: We will use reasonable efforts to dispatch orders within 5 working days of receipt of your order. Where the supply of your product(s) is delayed or prevented for reasons beyond our control (for example, higher than anticipated demand) we will make every effort to keep you informed but shall be under no liability to you for such delay or failure.
Charges: Standard delivery charge is £12. Local delivery is always Free for any order (local is defined as any TN1 – 4 and TN9 -12 postcodes) – your postcode will be automatically recognised at the checkout and delivery charge removed. For other national postcodes, if the order includes over £50 of apple juice or cider (apple crisps may be ordered as well but would not contribute towards reaching the £50 threshold) delivery will also be free (for all products within the order, not just cider and apple juice) and the charge automatically removed at checkout. Please note that certain locations may be subject to alternative delivery charges (higher), restrictions and/or timescales. If delivery is to the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, any UK island or outside the UK please contact us (email@example.com) and we will send you a quote for delivery.
Delivery will be to the address specified on your order. It is recommended that a safe place to leave goods is specified in the notes section at the checkout in case nobody is home to receive the delivery. If there is no answer at the door we will contact you to advise whether your order has been left in a safe place (e.g. with a neighbour), or returned to depot. All risk in the products you order (including risk of loss and/or damage to the products) shall pass to you when they are delivered to the delivery address specified in your order. During coronavirus restrictions we are operating a ‘knock and drop’ system whereby your order will be left on your doorstep and social distancing maintained – we will contact you (knocking or text message if no answer at the door)to inform you when delivery has been made.
Collection of orders: You can choose to collect your order form Cryals Farm, Cryals Road, Matfield, Kent TN12 7HN. To do so simply enter our address as the delivery address and add ‘Collect from farm‘ in the notes field and when you’d like to collect. If possible, please bring a printout of your order confirmation when you collect your order. We’ll be in touch when your order is ready to be collected. Usually orders can be collected from 12pm the following day.
International Delivery: Due to customs, legal, regulatory and certain practical restrictions applicable to orders placed for international delivery, some of our products may not be available for delivery to certain destinations outside the UK. Charrington’s reserves the right to define what can and cannot be delivered to which destination.
All purchases (including those by overseas customers) will be made in Pounds Sterling.
International credit card providers or banks will determine the exchange rate and may add an additional processing or administration charge in relation to such payment which international credit card holders will be liable to pay. Charrington’s products are sold to customers outside the UK on a delivery duty unpaid basis. The recipient may have to pay import duty or a formal customs entry fee prior to or on delivery. Additional taxes, fees or levies may apply according to local legislation and customers are required to check these details before placing an order for international delivery. Where applicable, it will be your sole responsibility to comply with any export controls or sanctions rules applicable to goods supplied to you in a country outside the UK.
